Jabarkhet Nature Reserve

Designing a cohesive, agile and fresh brand system for Jabarkhet Nature Reserve

WHAT
Jabarkhet Nature Reserve is a privately owned Nature Reserve nestled in the Himalayas, in the town of Mussoorie, India. Dedicated efforts since 2015 have transformed the land that had fallen into disuse, into a thriving reserve, home to abundant wildlife, birds, wildflowers, mushrooms and other fungi. This serves as a model for conservation, and it was quintessential to tell its story and establish a cohesive and agile brand system.

OUTCOME
My role was to develop the identity, and brand system that would be coherent with Jabarkhet’s success story. The logomark was inspired by Jabarkhet itself and represents the mountain goat, khaleej pheasant, acorn trees and the springs—all found in abundance at the reserve. I also designed a set of three pocket-sized field guides featuring the trees, shrubs & climbers, the mushrooms and other fungi, as well as the wildflowers of Jabarkhet. I also designed a trail guide map to enable visitors navigate the seven trails at the park.
