Visualizing internet penetration in the Asia Pacific over two decades
As an independent project to teach myself interactive data visualizations on Tableau, as part of the New Economies course at The New School, I created a visualization depicting the growth in percentage of population with access to internet services in 21 countries in the Asia Pacific region, from 1990 through 2016.
Internet technologies are the greatest driver of the new economy. The enormous growth in internet penetration in the Asia Pacific in the past decade is paving the way for a unique time in human history, when our civilization is more connected than ever, and has access to a wealth of information.
